INTERVIEW
ALL THE DETAILS ON THE CAST OF PRIME VIDEO'S NEW YA ROMCOM
By Lizzie Griffin, 17 February 2025
An electric romance, nail-biting car races and a haunting past, My Fault: London is the gripping romcom you don't want to sleep on. Based on Mercedes Ron's trilogy Culpables (a fave on BookTok), the new Prime Video film follows Noah (Asha Banks) as her life is uprooted from Florida and moved to London after her mum gets married. There she meets her new stepbrother Nick (Matthew Broome), and while they try to keep the undeniable attraction at bay, Noah's estranged dad, who has just been released from prison, secretly tracks her every move. It's quintessential Sunday-night viewing – if not only for all the moto-jacket inspo.
Before its release, we got to chat with Asha Banks (Noah), Matthew Broome (Nick), Sam Buchanan (Ronnie), Jason Flemyng (Travis), Enva Lewis (Jenna) and Kerim Hassan (Lion), and put their fashion theory to the test. Scroll for the scoop.

Hello all! What was it about your characters that resonated with you?
Asha: Noah is super close with her mum, which I resonate with. And she's quite stubborn, she's not one to shy away from a bit of a bicker.
Matthew: Nick is on a journey of finding out who he is, and I feel like I'm on that same journey.
Enva: Jenna's straight to the point. There's a lot of chaos in the film and she comes in as the level-headed one.
Kerim: Lion's a boxing trainer and I've boxed since I was five years old, so there was a direct relationship.
Sam and Jason, your characters play classic villains – how did you tune into that energy?
Jason: I've been fortunate to play a few villains, but this was interesting because it explores the evilness of the manipulation of your own kin, which I found baffling.
Sam: I tried to immerse myself in Ronnie's mentality, his psyche, and I listened to a lot of music that got me very pent up.

Asha, can you tell us how to nail an American accent? You did a great job in the film.
Having a great dialect coach! We would write out specific lines phonetically, so I could follow it like a child, which was fun. A lot of the team were American too, so it was nice having those people around.
You had two female directors working on this film, that must've been a cool dynamic.
Asha: So amazing! They work so seamlessly as a duo – it meant that Matt and I always had somebody to talk to. They were our safe space and they made everything feel really comfortable.
Enva: There were so many women on set – Danni Girdwood and Charlotte Fassler created such a safe space for all of us. The second we got the job, they said, ‘they're yours – now go for it’.
Kerim: They're so magical and they complement each other so well. They balance each other and perfectly work things out.

Matthew: My brown leather jacket at the end.
Asha: Noah has incredible Miu Miu boots that I was just obsessed with. Oh, and I got to keep a pair of bedazzled loafers.
How would you describe your style?
Sam: I've been with my partner for a while now and my wardrobe has totally changed – it's the girlfriend effect. She wouldn't want me walking around looking ridiculous.
Jason: Vintage, rockabilly.

Leather, moto details and streetwear – our kind of dress code.
With all the car scenes in the movie, you must be clued up on your driving theory, but we want to know if you can pass our fashion theory test! Which racer is co-chair of this year’s Met Gala?
Sam: Lewis Hamilton, because he loves his fashion.
What's been labelled the colour of 2025?
Jason: Mocha mousse.
Name a fashion aesthetic.
Kerim: Castlecore, like what Jaden Smith wore at the Grammys. Shout out to Jaden Smith.
Passed with flying colours. Last one, what does ASOS stand for?
Sam: As Seen On Screen
My Fault: London premieres exclusively on Prime Video on 13 February 2025.
