TEXTURE + PRINT

Leopard print is that girl, and we still love her, but we’re opening up the animal-print roster this season and throwing out the rulebook on how to wear it. We love the clashing prints in this look – note how the colour palette is kept neutral for a cohesive feel. Plus, if you like the snake-print boots, we might know somewhere you can get them, *cough* Topshop *cough*.

One of the new prints we’re crushing on? Cowhide. We’re seeing it *everywhere*. Whether you opt for a statement jacket or keep things subtle with the accessories, just make sure it’s in your A/W wardrobe. Extra points for the pony-hair texture.

Speaking of texture, let’s not sleep on the return of suede. It may not be ideal for rainy winter days, but jackets like this patchwork style make the perfect transitional layer to get you through autumn. Plus, the rich brown and tan shades are trending right now (more on that below).

AUTUMN'S COLOUR PALETTE

Miranda Priestley would argue that brown and burgundy outfits for autumn are not groundbreaking, but we spotted Anna Wintour in a burgundy trench on route to Erdem so… The warm shades are super easy to style – incorporate them through accessories like shoes or socks, and get a suede or leather jacket for a more obvious nod to the trend.

NEW ROMANTICS

For AW24, hyper-femme ‘fits are manifesting themselves in the form of ruffles, lace, frills and puff sleeves. It’s all about structure and shape, with coquette-inspired details like embellishments (hello, party crocs) and hair accessories to finish the looks.

MIX 'N' MATCH DENIM

When we say denim has been all over the streets at LFW, we mean it. From tailored jackets to barrel-leg jeans and this sculptural look c/o Leigh-Anne Pinnock, denim is having a moment. Our advice? Double denim is not enough – we want to see Britney-and-Justin-at-the-VMAs-level looks.
