WHY WE'RE TAKING STYLE INSPO FROM THE POP GIRLIES THIS SUMMER

There's been an energy shift in the cosmos. Female-led tunes with catchy beats and euphoric pour-your-heart-out choruses have been dominating the charts – music is SO back, in fact, it's pop-girl summer! To celebrate our faves Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and Tyla bringing out some seriously feel-good anthems, we're going to have a look at some pop-girl-worthy 'fits ft. micro skirts, big hair, Y2K details and more.

SABRINA CARPENTER

Sabrina can do no wrong RN. The singer brought back the art of the music video with Please, Please, Please, while Espresso is the (un)official song of 2024 (so far...) She's known for her cutesy style that makes her look like an IRL Polly Pocket, and we love how she wears soft shades… come to think of it, maybe she’s the reason why we’ve seen searches for ‘butter yellow’ increase by 98%? Copy and paste her hyper-femme aesthetic with mini dresses, platform heels, heart-shaped jewellery and lace details.

CHAPPELL ROAN

Chappell Roan famously proclaimed that she was 'your favourite artist's, favourite artist'. Our verdict? She's a fave in her own right. Chappell's known for her distinct on-stage style that's heavily influenced by drag performers – remember *THAT* Lady Liberty ‘fit? Recently, we’ve spotted her wearing cowboycore looks (she's a Midwestern Princess, after all), beaded bralettes and dramatic eyeshadow. We're fully onboard with western-inspired fashion already, especially when it involves a little (or a lot) of denim.

TYLA

Whether she's dancing Bacardi on stage or getting papped on her days off, Tyla's sense of style leans into core Y2K ‘fits. Remember when we first saw micro skirts entering the trend cycle on the Miu Miu SS22 runway? Well, we still can't get enough and neither can Tyla. We often see her playing with proportions, pairing baby tees with low-rise denim mini skirts or jeans

DO IT LIKE TYLA:
