BTS OF OUR WILDERNESS TREND LAUNCH DINNER

Not following us on socials? Side eye, because we recently hosted an IG-worthy dinner at Bambi, London, to celebrate wrapping on our new Wilderness trend shoot (shameless 🔌). The food was *chef's kiss* but the main serves came from the 'fits worn by some of our fave creators 🍽️  Between bites, we caught up with them to talk all things fashion. Scroll for the scoop! 

Hey Tze! We love your looks. Who do you look to for inspo?
There's no one specific, but the Instagram Explore page has been popping lately! It shows me the people I don’t follow, or who have a different style. The algorithm has got me!

We're taking notes. How do you know when your 'fit is hitting?
When you put it on and you feel good, you know it's right. It could even be a pair of joggers and a t-shirt. If that’s the mood you wanna be in, it will feel good.

BTW, we're living for your green bag (one of the key colours of the Wilderness trend, FYI!) What're your fave colours to wear?
I've been loving black. I used to find it hard to style, but now you’ll see me in all-black outfits.

Speaking of bags... what's your ride-or-die accessory?
Easy! A bag or sunglasses.

Claire!! Tell us where you get your inspo from 💭
I’d say I'm my own inspiration, but I do look up to Rihanna. People say I have my own niche because I don’t follow trends. If I see something that’s cute, I’ll get it, but style it in own way.

 

We hear ya! How would you describe your style in three words?
Authentic, versatile and sexy.

Nice. Are you an outfit planner or are you more spontaneous?
Both. Sometimes I'll have tomorrow’s outfit prepped before I go to bed. Other times, I’ll only know what to wear when I wake up. If there’s an event I need to look really good for, I’ll plan my 'fit based on my accessories.

And how do you know when you've picked *the* look?
When my sister compliments me 😂

Hey Sofia!! Now, the Wilderness trend is all about gorpcore vibes – do you have any fave outdoorsy brands?
Yep, The North Face!

 

A classic. Tell us, do you plan your looks or are you more laidback with it?
Laidback. I like to start an outfit with an accessory, so I recently got a yellow tie to style a look around. I might add a brown jacket and I’ll keep adding pieces to make the look more interesting. 

 

How do you find inspo?
I get most of my inspiration from travelling. I feel like I have an inspiration battery. When I’m at home, it’s lower and it rises as soon as I travel. For example, I just got back from Copenhagen and I feel so inspired. I also get inspired by old movies and TV shows. Usually, experiences inspire me, not people.

We <3 that! Advice for knowing when your look is complete?
I feel like I've nailed it when I look in the mirror and feel harmony. It’s a vibe. It’s usually a balance of not having too much or too little going on.
