TRIED + TESTED: NYX LIP OIL
By Emma Strawbridge, 17 June 2023

THE DEETS 💋
'I’m a certified lip-gloss girlie, but I hadn't added a lip oil to my collection yet (I know, I’m late to the party!), so I was READY to try NYX Professional Makeup’s version after seeing it all over my FYP. It claims to give up to 12 hours of hydration and contains squalene (a skincare SAVIOUR for the dehydrated 👑s out there), meaning it’s gonna feel as good as it looks. This is all fab, coz I get dry lips on the reg. Anything that offers skincare benefits AND looks good, I'm adding to bag.
'Let’s hear it for the packaging, too 👏 It’s compact with a punchy lime-green lid, so you’ll never lose it at the bottom of your tote!! Plus, it's *supersized*.'

THE RESULTS
'I tested Scrollin', a 90s-inspired shade with burnt orange tones and hints of brown. At first I thought it was a little on the dark side for what I would usually go for, but as I swiped it onto my lips (which I prepped with a light-brown liner), it created a sheer peach hue that is just 🤌 I instantly fell in LOVE.
'And the shine?! Club Renaissance-worthy, bb 🪩 I feel like my lips look fuller and, as promised, it doesn’t feel sticky in the slightest – win!'

THE ☕️
'I also tested it on a "no makeup" makeup day, and it’s still got SUCH a glassy shine!! The colour is just a bit more sheer without liner, and tbh I almost prefer it on its own. There’s just something about a glossy lip that HITS every time – it makes me feel more put together.
'So if you’re after healthy-looking lips with an out-of-this-🌎 shine, the NYX Professional Makeup Fat Oil Lip Drip is 4 u. Would I use it again? It’s a big FAT yes from me 😏 Am I a lip-oil convert now? For SURE.'
