Stick it
I know what you're thinking… stick-on nails on a night out = too much mayhem for you to handle. But, as a self-proclaimed clutz, I'm here to assure you that these Lime Crime babies aren't coming off for nothing. The glue is super-strong and no amount of cheers-ing and dancing will change that. Plus, they're so shiny.

Glitterati
Considering myself an authority when it comes to glitter is an understatement (I've basically got a PhD in the stuff)… I've tried many a brand and I've got to say NYX ranks pretty highly. The coverage is good – although you can apply more lightly if you want a more chilled-out look – and the pigment is really strong. Because it's a lighter texture, it's easy to build up with other colours or size of glitter, but, obviously, it gets everywhere. You've been warned.

Liquid metal
This is one for the brave beauty babes. Metallic lipgloss is a pretty OTT look to pull off, but on a night out, anything goes, so now's the time to try it. The coverage and thickness of this NYX gloss is insanely good and the best part? It won't budge. No one wants to be reapplying make-up in a portaloo and, while you might not care halfway through the night anyway, it's nice to know that you definitely don't need to. Note to self: use industrial-strength make-up wipes.

Rise and shine
This Stila eyeshadow has me seriously impressed. The liquid is thick and has a high ratio of glitter, meaning the result is a shimmery goodness that will more than brighten up your eyes. It's pretty stubborn so will have you covered for a good few hours and fairly smudge-proof. It's a 'yes' from me.

Gold rush
When it comes to nail polish, Barry M delivers – and with every colourway you can think of, this Molten Metal collection is making a big case for the metallics. The wide brush means application is really easy, so go for one layer if you're wanting a sheer look, or do two coats for a higher impact. Fairly chip-proof, plus, it's a bargain.
