THE FASHION TEAM'S 2025 STYLE RESOLUTIONS

It’s time for New Year’s resolutions, and while we’re still planning on joining a book club and focusing on nutrition for the foreseeable, it might be time for a style refresh too. And who better to ask about style resolutions than our Fashion Team? Scroll to meet the team and see how they’re switching things up in 2025 – and maybe take some inspo for your own wardrobe, too.
Fashion Editor Jess

JESS, FASHION EDITOR

'This year, my style resolution is to trust my intuition. As a Fashion Editor, I’m constantly exposed to new trends and style inspiration, making it hard to define my own personal style. With so many influencers, ads, and celebrity fits everywhere, it’s easy to lose track of what you truly love. In 2025, I’m focusing on authenticity – if I love it, I’ll wear it, trending or not.'

Senior Fashion Assistant Alice

ALICE, SENIOR FASHION ASSISTANT

'Understanding what elements make up the outfits I enjoy seeing. It’s easy to just try and replicate things you see across socials but I’ve found that doing this just makes me feel less myself and less comfortable in what I’m wearing. It's about finding the difference between replication and inspiration I think.'

Junior Fashion Editor Phili

PHILI, JUNIOR FASHION EDITOR

'For 2025 I’m going to concentrate on building a capsule wardrobe and hero my vintage pieces in as many ways as possible. There’s something I love about bringing new life to vintage and I really want to build my wardrobe to complement that. It’s a resolution I say every year but this year I will make it stick!'

Fashion Assistant Ellen

ELLEN, FASHION ASSISTANT

'I'm aiming to take some time each evening to thoughtfully plan and lay out my outfits for the following day, so I make better use of my clothes by rotating them and incorporating different pieces into my daily wardrobe. Hopefully by doing this, I won't keep wearing the same thing every day *fingers crossed*.'

Junior Fashion Editor Cris

CRIS, JUNIOR FASHION EDITOR

'I’d love to say that my New Year’s resolution is to wear less black, but that is very likely to fail. Instead, what I’m aiming to do this year is to stop buying something new for every occasion. I want to buy one good quality item over multiple one-off items that I won’t end up wearing again. I want to challenge myself to wear the clothes I have and love, and come up with different ways of styling them.'
