OFFICIAL RULES

What You Need To Know:

We love running sweepstakes for you guys and we want to be as clear as possible on how you enter, and how the prize is drawn. Please read the nuts and bolts below for the full details.

1. We know that there are ASOS lovers all around the world, but this sweepstake is only open to verified university students who are residents of the United States of America aged 18 or over. So that we are completely fair, anyone employed by us or professionally connected to this sweepstakes is not allowed to enter.

2. You do not need to make a valid purchase to take part in this sweepstake. You’ll need to have access to the internet have a valid ASOS Account and provide proof of student status in order to enter.

3. Sweepstake Period: You can enter between 00:01 EST on July 19th 2022 and 23:59 EST on August 12th 2022.

4. To Enter: Visit www.asos.com/us/discover/students/asos-on-campus/student-validation/ and complete the student validation form, providing your full name, confirmation of the country you are studying in, year of graduation and university email address, to validate your ASOS Student account. All ASOS Student accounts created and successfully validated during the Promotion Period will be automatically entered into the Sweepstake.

5. We’re sorry, but this particular promotion is only open to new ASOS Students.

6. You can only enter once during the Sweepstake Period. Sorry but you can only win 1 x Prize per person across the entire Sweepstake Period.

7. The Prizes: There will be a total of 6 winners.

a. Main Prize: 1 x Ski holiday for the Winner and 3 friends.

b. Runner-Up Prizes: 5 x $100 ASOS voucher.

8. Further Prize Details and Conditions:

a) Main Prize:

a. The ski holiday is in Tignes, France (or a resort of a similar location and calibre within the Alps) and is from 10 December 2022 – 17 December 2022.

b. The Prize includes a round trip coach class airfare and luggage from a major US airport closest to the winner’s home to/from Geneva.

c. Transfers from Geneva to Tignes and Tignes to Geneva are included.

d. Transfers from the Winners home to the airport and the return are not included.

e. The Prize includes a ski apartment for 4 people. The apartment is self-catering.

f. The Prize includes 4 x 6-day lift passes, ski or snowboard hire and ski or snowboard lessons if required.

g. The Prize includes 4 x snow party passes, including your own snow and party host.

h. The Prize includes a winter mountain banquet.

i. The Prize includes Party to Piste clothes and goody bag.

j. The winner is responsible for the behaviour of themselves and their guests whilst taking the Prize. The Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to exclude the winner and/or their guests from participation in any aspect of the Prize if any party fails to comply with the directions of the Promoter or any companies associated with the Prize or if the winner and/or their guests act in a manner that is dangerous to themselves or to the public or is, in the opinion of the Promoter, anti-social in any manner or which causes a disturbance or nuisance to others. Failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions may result in refused entry, or the ticket holders being required to leave the resort/event/venue.

k. For the avoidance of doubt, the Prize does not include travel/transportation, accommodation, food, beverages, souvenirs, gratuities, car parking charges, excess baggage, additional excursions and attractions or any other costs of a personal nature (including spending money) that are not explicitly set out in these Terms and Conditions and neither the Promoter nor any provider of any part of the Prize will be responsible for any such costs.

l. The winner and their guests will require a passport valid in line with the destination guidelines;any necessary visas or travel insurance are the responsibility of the winner and their guests. In the event the winner or their guests are unable to travel due to visa or other personal circumstances, no alternative tickets will be issued, and no compensation or other prize will be provided.

m. It will be the winner’s and (if applicable) their guest's responsibility to take out at their own cost all relevant insurance (including but not limited to health and travel insurance which covers activities the individuals will participate in (in this case, winter sports and any other additional activities they choose to partake in. For example, tobogganing), insurance for theft, loss and damage to property) which may be required or prudent to be taken.

n. The winner and their guests must travel together in both directions.

o. All elements of the prize must be taken as part of the same trip.

p. The Prize will be forfeited if:

i. the Winner has not obtained all of the proper travel documents by the date specified by the Promoter;

ii. the Winner has any immigration complications which prevent them from entering, leaving or travelling within France; or

iii. the Winner has any medical, legal or any other reason that would prevent you from accepting and participating in the Prize.

q. The Prize includes return economy travel, by the most convenient mode of transport up to the value stated above.

r. The winner is solely responsible for any additional charges incurred at the apartment during their stay, including, without limitation, costs of meals, drinks, additional nights and services together with related taxes.

s. Winners will be asked to pay a refundable security deposit to the accommodation providers on site.

t. You will be asked to pay a security deposit direct to the accommodation supplier on arrival at your accommodation. The security deposit will be used as payment towards the cost of any damage or loss caused by you or any member of your party. u. Certain parts of the prize may require particular levels of health or fitness. Entrants should ensure that they are capable of meeting the required standards.

v. Once tickets have been issued, they are only valid for flights, dates and times shown. No alternatives are available. Name changes to the flight once confirmed are not permitted.

w. The winner and their guests must abide by and are subject to the Airline’s published Conditions of Carriage.

x. Once the Prize is accepted the Winner and their guests will be bound by NUCO travel terms and conditions and behavioural code

b) Runner-Up Prizes:

a. The voucher has no expiry date.

b. The winner will receive an individual gift voucher code via email to register it to their ASOS Premier account as credit.

c. Vouchers can be used across multiple purchases and can be used as part or full payment against eligible items on the ASOS websites (this does not include ASOS Marketplace or the purchase of other ASOS gift vouchers).

d. Unless otherwise required by law, no cash refunds will be given but any balance remaining on the gift voucher is locked to the winner’s account and can be used against future purchases.

9. Winner Selection: So that you know we’ve selected our 6 provisional Winners fairly from all the valid entries we receive, the Sweepstake will be carried out by PromoVeritas, the independent verification service to select 6 provisional Winners. The draw will take place within 5 working days of the end of the Sweepstakes Period.

10. Contacting the Winners: If you are one of our lucky provisional Winners, you will be contacted via the email address associated with the ASOS account you used to enter the Sweepstakes within 5 working days of Winner Selection and will be asked to provide evidence of identity and eligibility. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the Winners. If a Winner does not respond to the initial contact within 14 days, we reserve the right to disqualify that entrant and award the Prize to a reserve selected in the same manner. Reserve Winners may have less time to respond.

11. Prize Acceptance: If you are one of our lucky provisional Winners, and once we confirm you as a Winner, notification to arrange fulfilment of the Prizes will take place within 28 days of acceptance of the Prize. In the unlikely event that you do not receive communication to arrange your Prize within 28 days of your Prize Acceptance, you’ll have a further 28 days to inform us by emailing the team at win@asos.com. If you don’t let us know within this time frame, we will reserve the right to not reissue the prize or to limit its value at our sole discretion.

12. Provided no objection from the Winners is received, we’ll make a winners list available 4 weeks after the close of the Sweepstakes Period, for a period of 8 weeks. It will be at available by sending a request via email to win@asos.com. Winners can object to their surname or county of residence being published or request for the amount of information being published to be reduced by emailing win@asos.com. However, without prejudice, we will provide winner information to the relevant authority in a State on reasonable request.

13. Sorry, but you can’t transfer a Prize to someone else or exchange it for a cash alternative.

14. If, for reasons we can’t control, the Prize is no longer available, we’ll offer you an alternative Prize which we hope you’ll still love but which will definitely be of equal or greater value.

The Legal and Other Bits

No one likes the small print, but we need to let you know about some other important stuff too and make you feel comfortable that we run our sweepstakes properly, fairly (and legally!):

15. Data Privacy: We care a lot about the security of your personal data and it will be held in accordance with our Privacy Policy here: https://www.asos.com/privacy-policy/ and will only be used for the purposes of the sweepstakes save where you have opted in to receive communications from ASOS. We will only share your data with our Fulfilment Partners for the to fulfil this sweepstakes.

16. In the event that the winner is a US resident, they will be required to complete and return an IRS Form W-9 and furnish their social security number that will be used only for the purpose of reporting the Winner’s prize earnings to the Internal Revenue Service, as required by law.

17. If the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned for reasons including but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, dishonesty, technical failures, or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, we reserve the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or does not comply with these Official Rules, or invalidate any affected entries and/or to cancel, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes.

18. No responsibility can be taken for entries which are lost, delayed, corrupted, damaged, misdirected or incomplete or which cannot be delivered for any technical, delivery or other reason. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. We can’t guarantee continuous or secure access to ASOS.com.

19. We and our associated agencies and companies are not liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Sweepstakes or accepting or using the/a Prize(s), except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. However, nothing will exclude our liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.

20. We won’t be liable for any delay or failure to comply with our obligations for reasons beyond our reasonable control arising from but not limited to Acts of God, global or regional epidemic or pandemic, adverse weather conditions, fire, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, plague or other natural calamities, or any other circumstances of ours.

21. If any part/s of these Official Rules are legally ruled to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remainder will not be affected and will continue in full force and effect.

22. By entering, you will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these Official Rules.

23. If there is a discrepancy between these Official Rules and those in any promotional material, these Official Rules will prevail.

24. These Official Rules are governed by American law and their interpretation and application will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United States of America.
