THE BEST BAFTAs LOOKS WEREN’T ON THE RED CARPET

The BAFTAs mark the first stop on the awards-show circuit in the UK, and it didn’t disappoint. Conclave and The Brutalist took home the most awards collectively, with Adrien Brody winning Leading Actor, but our focus is always on the red-carpet looks… usually. We couldn’t help but notice how good the afterparty 'fits were this year – from Colman Domingo to British rap icon Wretch 32, scroll to see the best of the best.

HENRY GOLDING

British actor Henry Golding opted for a classic tux with a twist. An olive-green velvet twist. We see a flurry of black tux’s at every awards show, but a simple colour swap makes it feel like an entirely fresh look – and a tip you can easily steal for your next formal plan.

JACK ROOKE

Jack Rooke got the western memo. Pairing a simple single-breasted black suit with a bolo tie taps into the trend without verging on costume. And when you add a chunky frame and a matching-shirt-and-sock combo? You’ve got yourself the recipe for a perfect look.

OLIVER JACKSON-COHEN

A lesson in corpcore if we ever saw one. Actor Oliver Jackson-Cohen (you might know him from The Haunting of Hill House franchise) looks like he stepped out of an episode of Succession with this look. The blue suit/red tie formula and the casual-Friday trainers just put this to the top of our moodboard.

WRETCH 32

Wretch 32 gave us spring-tailoring inspo in spades last night. Pastels are already on our wishlist for wedding season, but this pistachio-green take keeps things fresh with utility-inspired pockets. Plus, styling it without a shirt is super 2025 of him.

COLMAN DOMINGO

We always look forward to seeing Colman’s award-show looks because he seriously never misses (which is probably why he’s co-chairing the Met Gala this year – watch out!). This suit is giving angles. The structured shoulders are powerful, and the way the asymmetric neckline mirrors the point-toe boots? Genius.

HONOURABLE MENTION

We know we said we were all about the afterparty looks this year – and we are – but we couldn’t not mention Hollywood’s most hyped. He may not have taken home any awards for A Complete Unknown, but Timothée Chalamet will always win in style. From afar, it may look like another black suit on the red carpet, but the Bottega Veneta look is polished to perfection. The cropped jacket gives the suit a fresh fit, and sits over a plain-black tee accented by a statement Cartier necklace with a white-gold panther – when Timmy goes big, he goes big.
