In 2024 we saw fashion and sport intersect more than ever before. From NFL tunnel looks to red-carpet style at the Sports Personality of the Year awards, the athletes are showing up, and no-one has us more gassed than F1’s Lewis Hamilton. In honour of his 40th birthday and joining the Ferrari team, here are five of the driver’s best paddock looks – from trending tailoring to cool co-ords.
#1: FERRARI RED
There’s no way anyone could forget Lewis was officially joining Ferrari on 1st January, because he keeps turning looks in Ferrari red. This head-to-toe moment at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in December demonstrates the driver’s love for a wide-leg trouser (more to come!) and we’re loving the free-flowing shirt – perfect for the desert heat.

#2: BUSINESS CLASS
Ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix in November, Lewis arrived at the paddock serving business casual. He clearly got the memo about Harrington jackets – styling up this tailored version with a basic vest, relaxed trousers, stomper boots and an XXL tote, AKA a masterclass in high-low dressing.

#3: IN POLE POSITION? DENIM
One thing about Lewis? He loves a matching set. Here he attends previews of the Marina Bay Street Circuit in Singapore, showing exactly how to do double denim. The boxy silhouette, matching the top’s silver hardware to his rings, the black accessories – it’s clean, minimal and effortless.

#4: ATHLETE ENERGY
He may have lost out on his Tommy Hilfiger deal after joining Ferrari, but it doesn’t mean we should sleep on this ‘fit. It’s clear the F1 star loves a baggy look, but his take on casual entering the Italian Grand Prix ft. an oversized sweatshirt and wide trousers says, “I just threw this on”, even though we *know* more effort went into the stellar look.

#5: COLOUR-BLOCK SEASON
Lewis was ahead of the game in October when he showed us how to serve winter brights in this oversized zip-up knit. Flower pin, optional. Paired with his signature wide-leg trousers (we told you he loves them) and some suede boots, this look shows a softer side to Hamilton’s style.
