INSPIRATION AND ADVICE

EVERYTHING ON OUR RADAR THIS MONTH

November has just entered the chat, which means one of two things: your diary is already packed to the brim with weekly festive plans, OR you’re in the thick of your winter arc journey. Either way, we’ve got you covered. Whether you’re heading out to soak up the festive vibes or staying in to focus on yourself, we’re here to tell you about everything worth your time this month.

WICKED
It hasn’t even come out yet, but somehow this film is already *everything* we asked for (and more). The story (a prequel to The Wizard of Oz) follows the unlikely friendship of the misunderstood Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) and the effortlessly popular Glinda (Ariana Grande). After encountering the Wizard of Oz, their friendship reaches a crossroads and they take different paths, and the rest? You’ll have to see for yourself.

GLADIATOR II
24 years. That’s how long we’ve had to wait for Ridley Scott to come out with a sequel, so in case you needed the lowdown: [spoiler] following the ending of the last film, a young Lucius (Paul Mescal) is sent away to Numidia in Africa to live a quiet life outside of the Roman Empire. But, conquerors arrive at his door again years later, and Lucius is brought back home where he was once the Emperor's nephew. Then drama ensues! If your roman empire is Pedro Pascal and Paul Mescal’s bromance, then you won't want to sleep on this.

TYLER, THE CREATOR: CHROMAKOPIA

*Screaming, crying, throwing up*. If there’s one thing about Felicia the GOAT, it's that you can count on him to give us an album full of beats and look good while doing it. The highly anticipated seventh album follows his journey of understanding himself through rap, contemporary gospel and marching beats. He’s the master of bringing endless elements to a song, whilst making it sound uncluttered at the same time. If you were looking for your November soundtrack, *this* is it.

BARBIE®: THE EXHIBITION
The colour pink has never been more prevalent in our style rotation, and we have Barbie to thank for that! Go one step further by heading to Barbie®: The Exhibition at the Design Museum in London to see 65 years of first-edition dolls, plastic-fantastic homes, and a wardrobe we could only dream of. Oh, and there’s even a section for Ken, proving that he was always Kenough.

THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA MUSICAL
The iconic 2006 film was *peak girlhood*, but now it's time to gird your loins again, because the adaptation has hit the West End (it actually came out 24 October, but we know you'll be securing your tickets this month). With a score from music legend, Elton John (say less), the show follows a journalism grad, Andy, navigating the cut-throat fashion magazine, Runway, whilst being bossed around by terrifying editor-in-chief, Miranda Priestly. If you’re heading there, make sure you dress the part!

BARCELONA
Emily In Paris star, Lily Collins, has gone from on-screen to on-stage for her West End debut, Barcelona. It’s about an American tourist who finds a Spanish guy with rizz, AKA Álvaro Morte (from Money Heist). One night of romance turns into a high-stakes clash as personal and political values intertwine. An explosive play that’ll keep us on our toes? We’re in.
