EVERYTHING WE'D WEAR TO RUN THE MARATHON
By Steven Potter, 16 April 2024

THE TRAINERS
ON Cloudmonster running trainers, £160
We’ve got to start with the sneaks – they’ll be working the hardest, after all. On Running is one of the absolute best and the brand's Cloudmonster is designed to feel like you’re running on… well, you already guessed it. Just LOOK at that cushioning and support.

THE TOP
Nike Running Dri-Fit Pacer half-zip top, £44.99
The April climate is unpredictable at best, so you’ll need a top that’s light enough for flash moments of sun and insulating enough to deal with freak downpours. This beaut is made using Nike's Dri-FIT tech – it helps move sweat away from the body keeping you cool and dry. It also matches the yellow highlights on the above sneakers perfectly. Nice one.

THE SHORTS
Gemstone hues featured heavily in the SS24 collections, so why not add them to your workout look, too? These Nike shorts feature the same tech as the top, with some added side splits so there’s less resistance when running. Catwalk-fresh and performance-enhancing? Dreamy.

THE SOCKS
Nike Running Multiplier crew socks 2 pack, £19.99
How important are socks, really? Short answer: very. This pair is breathable, sweat-managing, and panelled for support – all while carrying your coordination game (and your PB) with those shorts. Absolutely vital.

THE CAP
Nike Running Dri-Fit cap in blue, £37.99
Lastly, a cap cool enough to wear post-run (after a wash). Ideal for that unpredictable April weather we mentioned earlier – it'll help keep the sun, rain and sweat out of your eyes... That seems quite important if you ask us.
