Your boat party outfit

The summer’s nearly over ('What summer?!’ we hear you cry), but there’s still a few of you who may yet be jetting off to the fair isles of Ibiza or another similarly sunny destination. If you count yourself as one of the lads, lads, lads, you’ll probably be going on a lads’ holiday, and that means only one thing – boat party.

This ‘not on a yacht’ uniform consists of hot-weather-friendly layers, which you'll be grateful for when out at sea. Let’s start with the shorts – of the swim variety, naturally. You’ll be in the baking heat, so opt for a bright colour like this ombre pair for maximum holiday vibes. Add a monochrome vest and wear an open shirt on top to keep you looking chill (and to protect your shoulders, if you’re too embarrassed to wear the factor 50 your girlfriend packed for you).
Opt for Birkenstocks – easy to slip on and off in case you want to dive on in – and don’t forget a backpack for all the extra water (*cough* booze) you’ll be taking. The hat is optional but remember, it’s a long day on a boat. Sail safe.
